Light before water
Match the plant to the window first. North rooms favour shade-tolerant leaves; west and south need plants that can take brighter stretches — or a step back from the glass.
Care
Practical notes for keeping foliage healthy at home — and for bringing more green into workplaces and shops.
Basics
Match the plant to the window first. North rooms favour shade-tolerant leaves; west and south need plants that can take brighter stretches — or a step back from the glass.
Feel the top of the soil. Most houseplants prefer a slight dry-down between drinks. Empty saucers so roots do not sit in stale water.
Wipe large leaves gently so they can breathe. Keep plants away from hard radiator blasts and cold drafts from frequently opened doors.
When roots circle the pot or growth stalls in season, we can help you choose a slightly larger vessel and a mix that drains well.
Indoor greening
Offices, studios, and small retail spaces in Vienna often need plants that tolerate mixed light and irregular care. We plan placement, suggest species that fit the building, and can return for watering visits when you want ongoing support.
Bring a few photos of the room, or book a short plant visit — we look at light, traffic, and who will actually water.
